Angel Fund

Cutie's Angel Fund

Update: Cutie has been adopted and is doing great!

Even though Joey is on her way to Denver The Yolo County SPCA always has animals with special needs who will benefit from donations to the angel fund. Currently Cutie a sweet 7 month old Cockapoo is being cared for after a vertebral fracture to her spinal column, and Fievel an adorable puppy who had to have a chicken bone removed from his throat are just two of the many animals that have special medical needs that will benefit from donations made to the Angel Pet Fund.

Pets of the Month

February Pets of the Month

Rosie is a dilute calico Domestic Short Hair who was born around January 1st, 2005.  Rosie has done well in transferring to a new home, and is quite loving.  She is a huge fan of having her face rubbed.  She is a lap cat who will seek you out if no other pets are around, and if you're busy, she'll just sit next to you.  She loves catnip and treats.  Rosie is generally laid back and gentle. She has lived with other cats most of her life, but would be just as happy to be your sole companion (maybe more so, as your lap would be all hers)!  At placement events, she'll be at the front of the cage hoping to meet you.  Just try to turn down this cute face!

Lucy is a 6 year old Schipperkel/Jack Russell mix!  She's just a happy, enthusiastic girl with a larger than life personality!  All she wants is attention and love!  Lucy is a fun-loving dog who will keep you laughing and smiling!  She adores people, but loves to play with other dogs as well!  She's a fantastic little girl who will make a most wonderful companion to someone.

Pawly is a short haired brown with white female tabby who was born around 10/14, 2010.  She is a loving and affectionate girl who is a little on the shy side.  Pawly is very calm and quiet; she is a GREAT lap cat.  Pawly does fine with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.  She sometimes seems a little nervous around men, but has warmed up to the two men in her foster home.  She has a rough start in life, but has come out of her shell to be a loving, sweet, and truly wonderful cat.

Happy Endings

Dolly
Dolly has been a menber of the family for two weeks now. It has taken
this long for her to recover from surgery and get aquainted with Emma and
the rest of the family. She is still a bit shy but seems to be coming out of
it at a rapid pace. Everything seems to be new to Dolly. She cocks her head
at the squeak of a ball, but guards a bone like she'll never eat again. She
is a dog that loves constant attention. Emma has found a new friend and they
play well together. We are all happy Dolly has found a new lease on life.
Thank you for taking good care of her!
