Diego
Poor little Diego may seem like a bit of a mess when you first see him, but
underneath it all he is a total sweetheart of a dog! Diego came to the
shelter with 2 fractured legs and scabbing and scaring on his face and ears.
While in foster care and trying to walk on 2 casts he broke a third leg!

Diego has been such a trooper through all of this. He is set up
for a full recovery from all 2 legs in a few weeks, as well as recovery from
the scarring which was a reaction to his rabies vaccine. Diego is only about
7 months old, so he has been through quite a lot in his short life, but he
takes it all in stride.
Knowing what a wonderful dog Diego is our generous board agreed to approve
the cost of all his treatment. He will need treatment for at least a month if
not more to recover from his injuries. The Yolo County SPCA is a nonprofit
organization and can only help animals like Diego through the generous
donations of our many supporters. In order to be able to help more homeless
animals we are asking for donations to cover Diego's care.
Diego's Happy Update!!
Diego has been adopted to a wonderful Davis home. He is cast free and
walking great thanks to everyone's love and assistance.
