Truman (original name was Cool Beans)
Six years ago I adopted a dog named Cool Beans from your organization.
For obvious reasons, I changed his name to Truman. Poor Truman had been
shot, starved, and left on the street. A kind soul dropped in the night box
of a local shelter. He was so nervous that no one would adopt him. After a
month, your group rescued him from death and I adopted him. He took a few
months to settle down, but turned out to be the best dog I have ever had.
He is well behaved and very loving. He adores hugs and everyone he meets.

He has cirrhosis of the liver and we've had some scary close calls, but he
seems to recover and enjoy life. We are about to add another rescue to the
family. She looks just like Truman, but is half the size.
I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you again. Truman was worthy of
all of your efforts to save him and I appreciate what you did every day he
is with me.
