Prince Valentino

Once upon a time there was a handsome four-legged prince named Valentino. He was a soft and fluffy Pekingese dog from a far away land called China. Back in his home country, dogs like Valentino were specially bred for the Emperor. Valentino walked with a happy bounce in his step, and smiled all the time.

One day, a queen named Corey saw Prince Valentino while he was waiting for a ride to his Yolo County SPCA foster family's house. Queen Corey just knew that he would be a wonderful friend for her daughter, Princess Anna.

Valentino

The queen loved animals and had 3 other dogs at home: the regal Princess Mellie, the senior Boxer; the fair and friendly Princess Lily, the younger Boxer; and the feisty 5lb Chihuahua, Sir Chachi. All of the royal subjects loved each other very much, and the Queen and Princess Anna loved all of them very much.

When the queen came home with Prince Valentino, there was great joy in the kingdom. All the other royal dogs were so happy to meet their new friend, and Princess Anna was especially happy to see Prince Valentino! Prince Valentino and Princess Anna became wonderful friends.

In Queen Corey's Kingdom, Prince Valentino learned a lot of new things! He learned to use the doggy door so that he could enjoy the outside anytime he wanted. He learned that all the royal dogs got TWO walks every day with Queen Mary, our friend from the neighboring kingdom. He also learned to climb the steps to get into bed with Princess Anna. Each morning, Princess Anna and all the royal dogs would cuddle in bed with the queen. When the queen would get up to make her royal coffee, Princess Anna would stay in bed, cuddling with her friends.

One day the queen snuck back into the royal bed chamber in time to see the most wonderful sight: Prince Valentino and Princess Anna happily snuggling together. The queen knew that Prince Valentino had found a good home in her castle.

…And of course, everyone lived happily ever after!

THE END
